For all of you that were a part of the 17,000 attendees last year, you know this is going to be epic! The event won a big prize as the best new event in Cache Valley and it will be even bigger and better this year. The winner will receive $3500 and the CHAMPIONSHIP BELT.

Schedule of Events:

    Weigh Off
  • 8:30 - 10:00 - Check in and registration for tomatoes, watermelon and long gourds, etc.
  • 8:30 - 10:30 - Unload, check in and registration for giant pumpkins. - Any pumpkins arriving after 10:30 will not be accepted for competition.
  • 10:30 - 12:00 - Judging of pumpkins.
  • 11:00 - 11:30 - Youth Giant Pumpkin Division (ages 15 and younger)
  • 11:30 - 12:00 - Specialty Category Division
    1. Tomatoes
    2. Watermelon
    3. Gourds
    4. Field Pumpkins
    5. Etc
  • 12:00 - Youth and Specialty Category Winners Announced
  • 12:30 - 4:00 - UGPG Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off

Registration Info

Step 1:

All growers who enter the competition must register as members of the Utah Giant Pumpkin Grower Club. (Youth in the 15 and younger division do not need to be club members). You may join now or at the weigh-off.

Step 2:

Complete the online UGPG Entry Form for each fruit/vegetable you are entering. All growers who register online by September 23rd will receive and exclusive Growers Goodie Bag at the competition!

  • Booking dates: Sept 27 - Sept 28, 2024.
  • Booking cut-off date: Sept 13, 2024. Reservations after this date will be accepted on a space and rate available basis.
  • Reservations can be cancelled and/or modified up to 48 hours prior to date of arrival by 3:00 pm local time without penalty.
  • Reservations cancelled/modified after 48 hours or NO SHOWS will be charged one night's room and tax.
  • Check-in time: 4 pm. Early check-in is determined on the day of arrival and is not guaranteed.

    We will be located on West Center Street in Logan, Utah. Free to Spectators!

    Center Street is located in the Heart of Logan. Weigh-off will be held on West Center between Main Street and 100 W. Pumpkin drop-offs begin at 8:30. See Festival Map for exact drop-off location on Center Street, just west of main.

    This will be a record breaking year for Utah Pumpkins. We have pumpkins with the potential to break 2000 lbs. You won't want to miss this extraordinary show!

    We hope that you all have monster pumpkins growing in your patch but, whatever the size, we would like to see you on September 28th. As long as your pumpkin is over 100 pounds, we hope you will bring it to the weigh off.

    In addition to the giant pumpkins, the weigh-off will also include a contest for long gourds and weigh-offs for giant tomatoes, field pumpkins and watermelons and more.

    The Giant Pumpkin Festival will be going on all day and The Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers and thrilled to be a part of that event. There will be vendors as well as many food truck with great offerings. Event will also include childrens activities, a scavenger hunt and more. Free to the public. 11:00am to 7:00 pm.

    Youth Division - We will have a separate weigh-off for kids to encourage growing and reward children for their efforts in the garden. For this reason, we have a Youth Division for entrants 15 and younger. No entry fee or club membership is required to enter the Youth Division. We recognize that these children likely received consistent help with the growing of these pumpkins, which is acceptable in this class. We do ask that the child take an active part in caring for the plant during the season. These entries will not be recorded as official GPC entries, and will not be entered for prize money in the general field. If a young grower has been the primary caregiver of the plant and would like to enter the pumpkin as an official entry instead of a Youth Division, please do not mark "Junior Division" Box. Places 1-5 will recieve ribbon awards.
