Schedule of Events:
- 10:00 - 11:30 am- Unload, check in and registration for giant pumpkins and all other entries. - Any pumpkins arriving after 11:30 will not be accepted for competition.
- 11:00 - 12:00 - Palooza activities begin
- 12:00 - 2:00 - Judging of pumpkins and other entries.
- 12:00 - 2:00 - Zombie walk
- 2:00 - 4:30 - Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off
- 5:00 - Giant Pumpkin Palooza Awards Ceremony

Step 1:
All growers who enter the competition must register as members of the Utah Giant Pumpkin Grower Club. (Youth in the 15 and younger division do not need to be club members).
You may join now or at the weigh-off.
Step 2:
Complete the online UGPG Entry Form for each fruit/vegetable you are entering.
Step 3:
Pre-register your pumpkins with the GPC online. Please log in or create a new account on BigPumpkins.com to pre-register.

We will be located at the Gateway fountain area in downtown Salt Lake City. Free to Spectators!
Calling all pumpkin enthusiasts! Bring your gargantuan gourds. We are celebrating all things pumpkin, with many pumpkin related events throughout. The highlight will be gigantic pumpkins – some possibly over 1000 lbs – battling for the 2023 championship and the orange jacket! Did you grow something huge in your garden this year? Bring it to the first annual Gateway weigh off. If not, just bring your families and enjoy the fun. Big prizes await the growers of these massive orange beauties! There will also be extremely tall sunflowers, gigantic watermelons, and other oddly large garden specimens.
The Giant Pumpkin Palooza will be going on from 12:00 to 5:00 pm and The Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers are thrilled to be a part of the event.
Youth Division - We will have a separate weigh-off for kids to encourage growing and reward children for their efforts in the garden. For this reason, we have a Youth Division for entrants 15 and younger. No entry fee or club membership is required to enter the Youth Division. We recognize that these children likely received consistent help with the growing of these pumpkins, which is acceptable in this class. We do ask that the child take an active part in caring for the plant during the season. These entries will not be recorded as official GPC entries, and will not be entered for prize money in the general field. If a young grower has been the primary caregiver of the plant and would like to enter the pumpkin as an official entry instead of a Youth Division, please do not mark "Junior Division" Box.
